This just in: Bob was bitten by a (small) shark while playing in the waves at Beach Haven, Long Beach Island, New Jersey. The patient is doing fine and has already started fourth grade. At least now he doesn't have to get a tattoo.

The Sit for Change webcast is now in testing mode. Intrepid soon-to-be-Ph.D Stefan Carmien installed the Icecast server on a vanilla PC hosted by Indra's Net. The test broadcast itself originates from my house across town on a Zen Micro player plugged into another PC running the Darkice client software. Both PCs are running SuSE Linux 10.0.
